George Wickens
Squad Number: 1
Position: Goalkeeper
What an incredible 2025/2026 season for the young goalkeeper, Wickens was brought in as a replacement for Lukas Jensen, who came from Accrington Stanley and was then sold to Millwall for a reported £600,000, now if we paid that money for George Wickens that was a perfect bit of business, I actually thought Jensen was the best goalkeeper I had seen put the gloves on, now after 1 season George Wickens has changed my mind completely.
We went 29 undefeated at the end of the season and the streak will carry on into the championship, George is 6 ' 5 and uses his whole body to take up the goal and has reflexes like that of a tiger he commands his area very well and when he sees to opportunity for a counter attack be sure he will be able to kick it to the player or even throw it. If Lincoln conceded a goal late on, even being 2 or 3 up the reaction of him losing a clean sheet shows so much passion his aggression shows me he thrives on his record.
He played every second of the league 1 champions campaign 4,140 minutes making an impressive 19 clean sheets and conceding 41 goals, 95 saves with 69.9% save percent, 1 penalty out of 3 saved and 5 yellow cards. 878 successful passes and a 48% pass accuracy, although at the start of the season he seemed nervous as he had only played at U23 level and 2 loan moves to lower league teams, his kicking was going out for throw in early on but this improved massively when he became confident.
He had 4 assists, which proves how well he sees a counterattack and had 7 chances created. I have a feeling he won't be in a Lincoln shirt for very long, he will be a premiership goalkeeper in a few years, and I imagine that Fulham would have bought a buy back in the transfer as I can't see them letting this goalkeeper slip through the net.
Transfer Value : 4 Million
*All transfer values are an estimate of what I feel the player is worth at a maximum value and is only for fun and is not a true valuation of what club values their transfer fee.
